About this deal
I have a feeling it’s Daisy, because Hazel’s narrating and I also feel like it’s Hazel because we’ve seen Hazel’s feelings and some of us are more attached to her. I’m currently crying. All my fave characters in all my fave series die! I’m absolutely thrilled. I think it looks beautiful – so summery and warm – and it’s going to complement the other covers so beautifully.
Robin Stevens was born in California and grew up in an Oxford college, across the road from the house where Alice in Wonderland lived. She has been making up stories all her life. She spent her teenage years at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, reading a lot of murder mysteries and hoping that she’d get the chance to do some detecting herself (she didn’t). She then went to university, where she studied crime fiction, and then worked at a children's publisher.Murder most unladylike reminds me a lot of Scarlet and Ivy by Sophie Cleverly. They are both such good book series! (Book 5 has the same thing with a new girl) Sadly, Sophie Cleverly released the final book of the series- book 6- this month, but I hope Murder most Unladylike will go on a lot longer than that!
She’s a bit more grown-up than my books (mainly because everyone in them ARE grown-ups, with all of the usual grown-up problems), but there’s nothing in them that’s really gory or rude! I started reading them when I was 12 and never got upset by anything in them, although some of the murders scared me a bit. I think you should start with Murder on the Orient Express, or Death on the Nile. Those are two of my favourites! Well this definitely didn't make me like Daisy Wells any more than I did prior to reading. She's a compete and utter jerk 99.9% of the time. Especially to Hazel.I have literally just started reading this book (and of course it’s as amazing as the rest of them) I can’t wait for Jolly Fowl Play to come out and I’m super excited about the Imagine festival Event!!!
I love your books i have read ever one of them over at least 3 times. In my reading diary when i was studying it i found out that your books are really apart from one or two other books are the ones i have read for the last 5 months. Hi Wispa, you’re very sensible! Don’t apologise for being safe. I’d love to set up a fan club – it’s something my publishers and I have talked about. I’m hoping that it will happen sometime soon – stay tuned! Robin 🙂
My friends and I have ‘A Spoonful of Murder’ as our number 1 out of the series because we all love Hazel, but we are wondering if this one will take its spot! I’ve had a thought. i think that Daisy and Hazel stay alive but one of the Junior Pinkertons die but im not sure… This sounds so cool! I love blue peter, and have all the badges except orange and purple. I really want the purple one before I turn 15! This is amazing news that you have teamed up with BP.
