This is also new information, although I’ve noticed him dropping Bible quotes into our conversations on my fortnightly visits to Rampton. He wipes perspiration from his top lip.

I felt the first two books were filling in the blanks with these mysterious characters, honestly I've never read a series that has put so much time and effort into building characters.Evie is determined not to let Cyrus down... again... but she is wilful and very intelligent and does not suffer fools. She also knows when someone is lying - a blessing and a curse! She starts a new job in a bar and is there when the police start to ask about Maya. Then another young woman, one she helped out, also goes missing, drawing her into the investigation as a witness. What I loved about this novel was Robthams exceptional writing, he honestly grabbed my interest from the start where I instantly felt invested. I have not read anything by Michael Robotham before and this book is part of a series however it was easy enough to read as a standalone and was easy to follow.

Several stories within the book, two woman are missing and a man is dead. Both the missing woman have secrets which Cyrus will need to unravel if he is to find them. Evie, who has the gift to tell if someone is lying or not, was a witness when the second young woman went missing and she becomes involved in the case. ( I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and look forward to reading the next instalment in the Cyrus Haven series.In the meantime Cyrus gets called out to the crime scene of a murdered man & his missing daughter..
